At NovelHaven, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. This Refund Policy outlines our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds.

2. Returns Eligibility
2.1 Time Frame
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
2.2 Condition of Items
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Books must be unopened and unmarked, with no signs of use or damage.
2.3 Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- E-books and digital products
- Books that have been opened, read, or show signs of use
- Gift cards
- Sale items (unless defective)
- Personalized or custom-ordered items
3. Return Process
3.1 Initiating a Return
To start a return, please email us at returns@novelhaven.com or contact us through our Contact Page. Please include your order number and the reason for your return.
Once your return request is approved, we will provide you with instructions on how to ship the product back to us. Please do not send your purchase back without contacting us first.
3.2 Return Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item unless the return is due to our error. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance for items of value. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

4. Refunds
4.1 Processing Time
Once we receive your return, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 10 business days. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
4.2 Partial Refunds
We may issue a partial refund in the following cases:
- The item shows signs of use or is not in its original condition
- Only part of the order is returned
- The item is returned more than 30 days after delivery
4.3 Refund Methods
Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase. For example:
- Credit/debit card purchases will be refunded to the same card
- PayPal purchases will be refunded to your PayPal account
- Bank transfers will be refunded via bank transfer to the original account
5. Exchanges
If you need to exchange an item for the same product (for example, due to a defect), please email us at returns@novelhaven.com with your order number and details about the issue.
If you want to exchange an item for a different product, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the desired product.
6. Damaged or Defective Items
6.1 Reporting Damage
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us at returns@novelhaven.com within 7 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number and photos of the damaged item.
6.2 Replacement or Refund
For damaged or defective items, we will either replace the item at no additional cost or provide a full refund including original shipping costs. We may request that you return the damaged item to us (at our expense) before processing a replacement or refund.
7. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account or credit card statement again. Then contact your credit card company or bank, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

8. Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
9. International Orders
For international orders, please note the following:
- You are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees that may be incurred when returning items to us.
- Original shipping charges for international orders are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
- The processing time for refunds on international orders may be longer due to international banking procedures.
10. Sale Items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded unless they are defective.
